Legal information

Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Speedtrans OÜ processes personal data when you visit our website or submit a transport enquiry.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Data controller

The controller is Speedtrans OÜ, registry code 10156387, Kaasiku 30, Jõhvi, 41541 Estonia. Privacy enquiries may be sent to ps@speedtrans.ee.

2. Personal data we process

When you submit the quote form, we may process:

  • your name, telephone number and e-mail address;
  • cargo description, dimensions, weight and requested route;
  • the language and page from which the enquiry was sent;
  • technical request data contained in ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser information, time and requested URL.

Please do not include unnecessary sensitive personal data in the cargo description.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Transport enquiries

We use enquiry data to answer your request, prepare a quote, select suitable equipment and communicate about the requested transport. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and, where applicable, performance of a contract.

Security and operation

Technical logs may be used to maintain website security, prevent abuse and diagnose errors on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

Advertising measurement

Google advertising measurement is enabled only after consent. You may refuse or withdraw that consent without affecting the transport enquiry service.

4. Recipients and service providers

Access is limited to Speedtrans personnel who need the information to handle your enquiry. We may also use:

  • our website hosting and technical service providers;
  • Telegram to deliver an internal notification about a submitted enquiry;
  • Google Ads and related Google services after advertising consent has been granted;
  • professional advisers or public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers rely on a legally recognised safeguard such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention

Unsuccessful or irrelevant enquiries are removed when they are no longer needed. Enquiry correspondence may generally be retained for up to three years to follow up the request and protect legal claims. If an enquiry leads to a contract, related records may be kept for the statutory accounting and legal retention periods. Security logs are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for operation and incident investigation.

6. Cookies and local storage

The website stores speedtrans_consent in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you accepted or refused optional Google storage. This preference is necessary to respect your choice.

Before consent, Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising storage, analytics storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation. If you accept, Google may store or access identifiers used to measure advertising performance. If you choose “Necessary only”, those optional permissions remain denied.

You can change your choice at any time:

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon). Information about data-subject rights is available at aki.ee.

8. Contact

For questions or requests concerning personal data, contact Speedtrans OÜ at ps@speedtrans.ee or write to Kaasiku 30, Jõhvi, 41541 Estonia.
